The Department of Industrial Design, Chandigarh University organized an Industrial visit where 50 students from 3 semesters (1st, 3rd and 5th) along with 2 faculty members visited Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology, Baddi.

The students were taken to the conference hall for a presentation, where Mr. N. Ramesh Babu Manager (Technical) addressed the students. The team of CIPET guided the students and were given a tour of the institute where they explained the working of the equipment and machines such as the Injection molding machine, the roto molding machine, blow molding machine etc. The students then got to ask about the questions they had regarding the functioning and usage of the equipment.
The Department of B. Design (Industrial Design) of Chandigarh University organized a Workshop on Bamboo Art by Mr. N. Tondonsana Singh (Faculty at UID, Chandigarh University) for students of Industrial Design Department to enhance their Industrial design skills in the context of Material . Mr. N. Tondonsana Singh is an employed interior designer with 10+ years’ experience in designing the best design according to the client needs.

The purpose of the Workshop was to educate the students on the importance of Standard measurements, Trends, Colors, Visualization and representation, Model making etc which form important part of Product design process.
The Expert Talk included 1 Panelists having vast experience in the Industry (around 20 years ) , to get insights into UX design industry and and futuristic designs across various domains such as Telecommunications and others.
