The Department of Fashion & Design embraces labs with industrial equipment and tools to provide the technical know-how to the students. Industrial machines like Single needle Juki Sewing machine, along with textile testing equipment required to analyses the properties of textiles and their applicability in developing different products. As designer work involves use of different surface ornamentation technique therefore a separate lab with dyeing and printing tools is part of the department where students learn the concept and applicability of colors, mediums and embroidery techniques.

Garment Construction Lab

Textile and Dyeing Lab

The Textile and Dyeing Lab offers Fashion Design students a comprehensive understanding of fabrics, from their physical properties to their decorative potential. Students learn to assess fabric performance through standardized tests according to ASTM and AATCC standards for strength, abrasion resistance, flammability, and more. This technical knowledge is complemented by hands-on experience in dyeing, printing, weaving, and a rich variety of embroidery techniques, including traditional methods, macramé, and other forms of surface embellishment.

Computer Lab

The Computer Lab is a hub of innovation and creativity within our Fashion Design department, where students are given the opportunity to get hands-on experience in various industry-standard software. Amongst these are Adobe Photoshop for image editing and manipulation; Corel for vector graphics and illustration; and CLO-3D for virtual prototyping of garments. From developing digital portfolios to creating realistic 3D models, students learn to thrive within the Fashion Industry's requirements through computer skills. Furthermore, students learn to apply these skills to create effective marketing materials, design distinctive logos, and develop professional portfolios that showcase their talents.

Dyeing & Printing Lab

This lab provides the student with the skills of adding aesthetic value to textile material and develops the sense of color. The equipment installed in the lab are the best available and cover the range of chemical finishing lab processes such as scouring, bleaching, dyeing, printing, etc. The student is provided with hands-on practice in all of the chemical processes right from fiber identification up to textile finishing. Here students also perform practical which gives them hand-on practice about basic embroidery stitches and surface ornamentation. Equipment in the lab includes table looms, Digital GSM balanc(Cap.600), Crock Master (Radical), Quick Cut, Stiffness Master, Thickness Master, Wax heaters, Microscopes, Burners.

CAD Lab

21st century is also known as digital age. The graphic designing and compilation as well as presentation of ideas are well performed with the help of different digital tools. The department of fashion & design is well equipped with the latest computers which are installed with number of software applicable in fashion & design field. Students are acquainted with the skills of designing by having hands on experience on software like Corel draw, Cad, Photoshop, illustrator.
